Pilots Schwartz, Koppen, and Doneen all took to the skies to see the capabilities and features of the newest member of the Montana Drone family.
Between the Mavic Air 2's 48mp camera to the 34 minute battery life the small drone packs a lot of punch in a highly portable system. We found that while the drone had many familiar features to our Phantoms there were a few surprises along the way! The Mavic Air 2 has the capability to shoot slow motion aerial footage which will make a great combo with our slow motion ground cameras! The Mavic also impressed us by allowing us to take 360 photos as seen in our comments video, with this new tool we can allow the user to explore areas at their own pace bringing them a more engaging experience.

Our only con from the whole experience was landing the Mavic. While we normally catch our drones being familiar with the Phantom 4s landing gear, the Mavic Air 2 has such a low profile that we will be using landing pads for the forseeable future.

Overall the Mavic Air 2 truly impressed everyone on the team and we are excited to show you all that it has to offer in the coming months!
